Can Turkish Citizens Travel to the UK For Holiday?
If you are from Turkey and you want to go to the UK for a holiday, you need to know whether you can travel. There are some requirements you will have to follow before you can visit the UK and there are some visas you need to apply for.
Business visas
There are several visa types that Turkish citizens can use when they travel to the UK for business or holiday. The type you need depends on your personal circumstances. For instance, a Turkish Businessperson visa allows Turkish nationals to join an existing business in the UK. However, this visa does not allow them to engage in any work activity or use public funds.
A Businessperson visa is valid for up to three years. During this time, the applicant must prove that he has a viable business plan and is in a position to support himself and his family. In order to prove this, the applicant must provide documentation.
Applicants can also extend the visa for up to three additional years. This is only possible if the applicant already holds a Turkish business permit.
Visitor visas
If you are a Turkish citizen planning to visit the UK for holiday or business you will need a visitor visa. You will need to fill in an application form with the correct supporting documents. There are several types of visitor visas to choose from depending on the nature of your visit.
A UK visa allows you to stay in the country for a specified period of time. This can range from one week to three months. It is necessary to apply for your visitor visa in advance to ensure you receive the correct type of visa.
The standard visitor visa is also known as the London tourist visa. The cost is $126 per visit for the shortest length of time. Generally, a visa is valid for 180 days.
Innovator visas
There are many visa options for Turkish citizens to consider. They can apply for a visitor’s visa, a work visa or one of the three main visa routes for foreign residents. But, if they want to stay in the UK permanently, they should consider an Innovator Visa. This type of visa allows Turkish businesspeople to settle in the UK and to start a new business in the UK.
The Innovator Visa is available to applicants with a proven business plan. It is a non-permanent visa that lasts for three years. Applicants can then apply for indefinite leave to remain after three years. However, there are certain conditions to follow during the initial three years.
One of the requirements is a B2 level of English. Applicants must take an English language test and prove their proficiency by reading, writing and speaking. Citizens of most native English-speaking countries are exempt from this requirement.
Scale-up visas
The Scale-up visa route is designed to attract highly skilled workers to the UK. It is a route that provides Turkish citizens the opportunity to move to the UK and live here. This is a way to make hiring international labour easier for companies.
You can apply for a Scale-up visa from either inside or outside of the UK. However, applicants are required to meet certain eligibility requirements before they can be granted this type of visa. Applicants must be sponsored by a qualifying scale-up business, and demonstrate a high skill level. They must also meet minimum language and financial requirements.
If you’re a Turkish citizen, you can apply for the Scale-up Visa in two stages. The first stage is for up to two years. After this, you can apply for indefinite leave to remain.
Marriage visas
There are a variety of visas for Turkish citizens visiting the UK. One is the marriage visa. It allows a married partner to live and work in the UK. The visa is also the most popular in Turkey.
To get the marriage visa, the applicant must fill out an online application form. It takes a few days to process. Once the application is accepted, the applicant is issued with a BRP card. This card is valid for 33 months.
For an English language test, you can take one of the two options. You can either have an A1 or A2 level. You can also provide the sponsor with a supporting document.
Usually, only the sponsor’s income is considered when applying for a spouse visa. However, you can include your own income if you have permission to work. If you are resident in the UK, you can also include your savings.
